We use professional vehicle entry tools and choose the method for the vehicle in front of us. The goal is to open the door without damaging the glass, lock cylinder, door, or weather seal. If a safe opening method is not available, we explain that before work begins.
A key locked in a trunk can require a different approach from a key on a seat. Tell us where the key is and whether the vehicle is running so we can prepare and quote accurately.
We do not cut or program replacement keys or fobs. If the key is lost instead of locked inside, say that first so you do not wait for a service that cannot solve the problem.
What it costs
The Port Angeles price is $65 before travel. Driving within 10 minutes of Port Angeles carries no travel charge. Past that, travel is 90 cents for each minute of round trip driving, rounded to the nearest 5 dollars. If we cannot complete the opening, there is no service charge.
